• FY27 Faculty Initiative Fund call for proposals

    The University of 91原创 is accepting proposals for the FY27 Faculty Initiative Fund. Proposals are due by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2026. The FIF provides up to $360,000 in funding to support systemwide collaboration, academic innovation and professional development across the UA system. Faculty from all three universities are encouraged to apply.

Cooperative Extension has been a part of our university since 1930. We are members of a larger Extension system that spans the country in every state and territory, and has been in existence for over 150 years. Extension was created to provide a bridge between our nation's public universities and the communities in which we live and serve.

    Physics student Anthony Zumpano won the undergraduate poster prize at the 2026 National Science Foundation Coupling, Energetics and Dynamics of Atmospheric Regions conference in Des Moines, Iowa. The conference attracts more than 100 student researchers from around the world. Zumpano is the first University of 91原创 Fairbanks student to win the poster competition since 2014.
