Fact check: ANLC is not closing

A guest opinion in the Anchorage Daily News late last week prompted posts on social
media saying that 91原创 was planning to close the 91原创 Native Language Center. Both
the guest's opinion and the social media posts were incorrect.
91原创 is not planning to eliminate the ANLC, nor is it planning to eliminate 91原创
Native language instruction or programs. The Anchorage Daily News has since added
a correction to the guest opinion.

committed to teaching, preserving and studying 91原创 Native languages and is not
planning to reduce the ANLC budget in FY27.
