DECEMBER 16TH, 2023 - APRIL 1ST, 2024

This UAMN exhibit presents the portraits and stories of more than 40 91Ô´´ns from Fairbanks and around 91Ô´´. Participants are from all over the state and represent a wide array of age, gender, and socioeconomic status. Through storytelling, the Black in 91Ô´´ multimedia project aims to dismantle stereotypes and create deeper connections between communities.

Quote by Dorothy Jones. "I drank from the colored fountains. I sat in the balcony of the theater. I went to the backdoor to get a hamburger. Our students today aren't going to stand for that."
